FLOWERY BRANCH – The peaceful community on the shores of Lake Lanier has been converged upon with media and fan frenzy as the Atlanta Falcons” sixth consecutive training camp kicks off.
Credited with bringing companies and business to the small northeast Georgia town, the Falcons” annual training camp opened the last weekend in July and continues through the end of August, with $100 million in players taking to the turf each day in preparation for the upcoming NFL season.
The 2010 Russell Falcons Training Camp will include 31 practices, including 15 two-a-day sessions, with select morning and afternoon practices open to the public between now and August 22.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and the New England Patriots will visit the Falcons in Flowery Branch for combined team practices at the Falcons” training facility. The Falcons will battle it out against the Patriots in a pre-season game at the Georgia Dome on August 19, then travel to Jacksonville for their final pre-season game on September 2.
