The 11-screen 54,997 square-foot “Ovation” cinema will feature a “dine-in” experience complete with a full bar, reserve luxury seating and wait staff that will give movie-goers table service at every seat as well as in the lobby.
Citizens of Lawrenceville can also look forward to an impressive 70-foot digital screen exclusive to Carmike Cinemas and kiosks in the lobby for easy ticket purchasing.
Pending permitting approvals from the county, construction is projected to begin late summer to early fall. Expect the new theater to open summer 2016.
Surrounding the theater in the shopping center will be a Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, Hobby Lobby, Gander Mtn. outdoors store and a Lazboy furniture store with room to spare for future developments not yet in the works.
“We’re excited to bring our ‘dine-in’ concepts for the people of Gwinnett County and Lawrenceville to enjoy,” said Tom Wilkinson, Director of Real Estate and Development at Carmike Cinemas.
