An inaugural, outdoor exhibit that aims to create awareness for low-income housing in Gwinnett County is scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 5 during the Norcross Art Fest. Doors to Homes and Hope will be hosted by the City of Norcross in support of Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity”s mission to build homes and hope and ArtWorks! Gwinnett”s mission to increase visibility of the arts countywide.
More than 100 talented, registered artists will paint, decorate and adorn Doors of Art which will be exhibited in Norcross throughout the month of October. The first Door of Art was submitted by Tannery Row Artist Tonya Haswell. Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity addresses poverty housing by building decent, affordable homes for families in the community. Gwinnett ReStore is the retail division of Habitat, where donated items used to build, renovate and decorate are sold to generate proceeds to support the Habitat mission.
