The City of Duluth’s signature event of the year is right around the corner.

The 36th annual Duluth Tree Lighting is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 6. The event kicks off at 4 p.m. with fun activities for children such as arts and crafts, letters to Santa, inflatables, and City Hall Open House. The Tree Lighting ceremony will begin at 6 p.m.

“We really enjoy hosting this event because is just rounds out the year. We love to see all the little faces just mesmerized with all the lights, activities, and of course Santa Claus,” said Event Coordinator Maggie Waddell.

BB Harris Elementary & Duluth High School Chorus will hit the stage in an epic performance of holiday classics. Santa and his reindeer will round out the event. The event is free to the public and residents are encouraged to come out and ring in the holiday with the City of Duluth.
