Buford School Connects Local Farmers with the Community
Goddard School Buford is hosting a web-based, local farmers market that aims to give the community access to the healthiest, freshest, locally grown organic foods available.
Organizers of the preschool”s Heirloom Living Market offer a centralized ordering system and convenient pick-up location for residents to access fresh fruits, vegetables, natural meats, herbs, dairy, eggs and baked goods. Marijke Strachan, owner of the Goddard School in Buford, says she enjoys giving back to the local community and saw this as an opportunity to help provide families with high quality food while supporting local farmers and artisans.
Consisting of a group of area farmers, gardeners and artisans in and around Buford, all involved adhere to a strict set of standards to ensure foods are chemical, pesticide, medication, hormone, nitrate, soy and GMO free.
The Market accepts web orders each Friday through Monday, and pick up is each Wednesday afternoon at the Goddard School Buford, 4000 S. Bogan Rd. For details or to place an order, visit tgsbuford.locallygrown.net.
