The celebrate the holidays in Braselton committee announced this year”s festival and parade theme: “A Winter Wonderland.”

Festivities begin November 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the Braselton Brothers Store as the Town Christmas Tree is lit amongst singing, dancing and prize drawing for all attendees. There will be a special guest to create nostalgia for all who attend and some very exciting surprises. After the tree lighting, there will be a showing of Cars 2 in the Braselton Park, free to all attendees.

On November 19, booths will be open in the Braselton Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the parade scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Come watch our Winter Wonderland Princess as she travels down the parade route on Highway 53. She will be escorting our special grand marshals and casting winter spells all over the Braselton kingdom. Prepare for a wintry good time.

To have your business or group represented in our parade, review the parade guidelines then complete the registration form on line or forms can be picked up at Town Hall or Northeast Georgia Bank. There is no entry fee! Three cash prizes will be awarded to best floats! All registrations forms must be received by Monday November 14. No day of parade entries will be allowed.

There will be entertainment on the stage in the park all day with our special safari petting zoo, balloon animals and face painting free for the kids. The Swing Daddies will be on stage from 1:30-4:30 p.m. performing all the classics. Cookies with Santa, a paid admission event, still has a few tickets left.
