pete-pikeSnellville welcomes the Pete Pike Museum now open in the Family Tree Garden Center on Main Street East. With wife Geraldine by his side, William (Pete) Pike has been instrumental in beautifying Atlanta for more than 50 years.

“The purpose of this museum is two-fold,” says Pike. “First, so that this history will live on, but mostly to show that with hard work and integrity, anyone from any background can accomplish anything.

The museum spans Pete Pike”s life to date in photographs and historical artifacts – from growing up on a farm, going into the navy, working hard to make a living to starting a family and introducing Pike Family Nursery to Atlanta. As well, the museum is his way of showing appreciation to those individuals who helped his nursery business flourish throughout five decades.

Museum hours are the same as the garden center: Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
