When community leaders discuss public safety, they frequently use words such as foundation and basis of a community. Ensuring citizen safety is without a doubt a prerequisite for development and for revitalization: it is impossible to attract new businesses and investors without sufficient protection for citizens. It would be difficult for anyone to envision an optimistic future if there were serious concerns about safety for people and businesses.
