We#ve all been there before, wondering if we#ve chosen the right career or if there#s something better out there. Is there such a thing as a dream job? And, if so, how you do find it?

According to the best selling job-hunting book in the world, you can find your dream job.

It just takes some research and determination.

From What Color is Your Parachute? by Richard N. Bolles, we#ve compiled a quiz that will help you identify your dream job.

1. What are your favorite transferable skills? What skills do you already possess that could be used in any field or career you choose?

2. What are your favorite interests, subjects and words?

3. What are your fields of fascination? List the fields that interest you the most.

4. What does your new career look like? From the answers to the above questions describe your job in terms of geography (where you want to work/live); your favorite interests; your favorite people environments; your favorite values, purposes and goals; your favorite working conditions and your desired salary and level of responsibility. What are the names of jobs that fit? Interview people in fields that interest you to find out what their jobs are like.

5. What do people currently doing your dream job think about it? Do they like the work? How did they find their job?

6. How much do you know about organizations that interest you? If not much, then do some research.

7. Do those organizations you#re interested in have needs or objectives that your skills and knowledge could help accomplish?

Once you#ve established what your dream job is and where it is, do some networking. Find out who has the power to hire and use your contacts to get in touch with that person. Show them how your skills and desire would benefit their organization and make yourself stand out among the employees, and you#ll be on your way to your dream job.
