Shoppers can use their I-Pads, smartphones and other wireless devices to check for store deals while shopping. You can also download apps or coupons, surf the net and make calls. The upgrade is expected to make the overall network experience more consistent for customers inside the mall as they increasingly rely on their devices while on the go.
“We want our customers to have a great network experience whatever they”re doing,”# said Keith Holmes, vice president and general manager for AT&T in Georgia. “We”re committed to our investment in the local wireless network. Gwinnett Place is just one way that we”re investing in Georgia.”#
The new antenna system has the ability to provide enhanced wireless coverage to AT&T customers in indoor or outdoor spaces where geographical limitations – terrain, building construction – or crowd density might otherwise prevent an optimal wireless experience. The additional capacity is expected to help improve call reliability and enable more consistent network access to help customers make the most of their AT&T devices.
